Families For Families donates $4,000 to Cincinnati’s Battered Women Shelter to keep Survivors of DV safe

(April 2020)

With the Covid pandemic shutting down all non-essential businesses, survivors of Domestic Violence are faced with another hurdle to reach safety and freedom. Cincinnati’s Battered Women’s Shelter was forced to close down, as congregated living situations were not only dangerous to people’s health, but also forbidden. The YWCA does it’s best to relocate survivors to hotel rooms, but the financial strain on the organization is noticeable. Families For Families donated $4,000 to the YWCA in support of survivors of DV, hoping that the families will be able to stay safe!

Families for Families believes all people deserve to live free from the repercussions of domestic violence. Through raising public awareness, advocacy, and direct support to survivors, Families for Families aims to helping women and children rebuild their lives after violence, while instilling an ethic of service in our youth.
